What's the difference between maps and backdrops?
Maps are top-down battle maps with a grid, for the fight. Backdrops are wide scenes for theatre of the mind, travel and set pieces.
Do I need Foundry, Roll20 or another VTT?
No. Maps play on this site with a grid, tokens, fog, measuring, initiative and dice. If you already use a VTT, download the Grid and No grid files from each pack's page. On Foundry, install our module to import maps in one click; The Immortal's come with walls, doors and lights.
Is there a Foundry VTT module?
Yes. Install it with our manifest URL and import any map your membership includes, in one click. The Immortal's maps come in with walls, doors and lights.
Can I put the map on my TV?
Yes. Open animatedbattlemaps.co.uk/tv on the TV's browser, then type the code it shows. Step-by-step TV guide.
Do my players need an account or a membership?
No. Send them the game link or code. They see the maps your access includes, in your game, without signing up.
What happens if I cancel?
Memberships are managed and cancelled on Patreon or YouTube. When one ends, that tier's maps lock again here. Free maps stay open to everyone, and packs you bought stay yours while your account is open.
